Embedded Project on Cell Phone Controlled Robotic Vehicle

ABSTRACT:

The project is designed to develop a robotic vehicle that is controlled by a mobile phone. DTMF commands from a phone are sent to another mobile phone which is mounted on the robot. These commands are fed to a microcontroller of 8051 family to work the vehicle movement through a motor interface.

The fundamental goal of the project is to send commands from one mobile phone to be received by another mobile phone mounted on the robot to get the DTMF (Dual Tone Multi-Frequency) mode orders which are then decoded by a DTMF decoder.

The corresponding codes are then fed to a microcontroller, programmed to perceive those codes to work 2nos DC motors through motor driver IC for any heading development according to the sent orders from sender’s versatile. The engines are controlled utilizing motor driver IC which is interfaced to the microcontroller. It utilizes microcontroller from 8051 family and a battery for control source.

This project can be improved by interfacing it with additional motors for multipurpose movement. For instance, it can be developed into pick n place robot or putting out fires fighting robot with water pump and so forth.
