Embedded IEEE Project  Connecting physical things to a SmartCity-OS

ABSTRACT:

A Smart City can be viewed as a framework in which diverse Internet of Things (IoT) arrangements coincide and coordinate. Agreeing with this vision, the quantity of IoT organization is, these days, in persistent extension and it includes edgy situations, from road lighting, squanders administration, and so forth. However, those activities are independent, in light of various conventions and norms, while the Smart City idea requires, then again, reconciliation and interoperability among every one of its partners. To confront this issue, in this paper we present the VITAL-OS engineering, that can screen, envision, and control all the operation of a city. At that point, we introduce a commonsense utilize instance of associating a Sensor Network to this OS and we depict cachaca, a positioning system that encourages the disclosure of administrations gave by every sensor. Exhibitions have been assessed by means of experimentation on the FIT IoT-LAB, and results show the adequacy of the revelation of administrations process.
