The main goal of this project is to develop a pre-warning system to avoid stampede in places where the large gathering of people take place.
In many religious places, political rallies and places where large public gathering take places are chances for the stampede to happen because of different reasons. This proposed system warns in advanced authorities about the gathering of a large number of peoples in a specific place before any stamped occurs.
This project will help us to develop a turbulent pedestrian flow prediction and risk administration system in most pilgrimage places, where stamped is regularly experienced attributable to a mass movement. This is achieved when a large number of pressure switches are incited as the people gathering in one place.
The switches are interfaced to a microcontroller of 8051 family when a specific number of switches are pressed which exceed the predefined number then microcontroller produces an output to switch on a buzzer alerting the authorities about a possible stampede. The status is additionally displayed on the LCD which is duly interfaced to the microcontroller.
The further project can be improved by interfacing a GSM modem to the microcontroller with the goal that a warning message is sent to the concerned authorities via SMS.
